Construction Firm Aides Learning for Locals

RMS East Timor helping the community.

RMS Engineering & Construction have aided in the establishment of the Timor Learning Centre by way of constructing a house, gymnasium and refurbishment of classrooms. Through RMS’s strong relationship with Libby Bleakley who is responsible for bringing the learning centre to life, RMS have been able to support the project from idea conception through to completion continuing their goal to support the broader community.

The Timor Learning Centre had its official opening on the 18th of October. The Centre was opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony with guests including former President of East Timor Xanana Gusmao, H.E Ilidio Ximenes (Secretary of State and Minister of SEPFOPE), His Excellency the Ambassador of Australia to Timor Leste Peter Doyle, Policia Nacional de Timor-Leste Commander General Julio da Costa Hornay and AFP Assistant Commissioner Scott Lee.

RMS was the first to be thanked by Libby Bleakley for the high quality work that was done and made a point of how much it meant to have the RMS compound across the road as a sense of security to her and her team.

RMS also received favourable comment from Xanana Gusmao and Minister ‘Ilidio Ximenes for the dedication to the project and their efforts to advance the local community.
