RMS is excited to be involved in the civil construction works for the Ross River Solar Farm.
The Ross River Solar Farm is a significant investment that will help to reshape Australia’s energy future. The project will also bring Townsville one step closer to its goal of becoming a ‘solar city’.
Located in the dry tropics of Queensland, the Ross River Solar Farm will utilise abundant sunlight to produce clean, zero emissions electricity. The 148MW Solar Farm will be built with approximately 420,000 monocrystalline solar photovoltaic modules and has a 13-year Power Purchase Agreement with Energy Australia. 148MW of electricity is enough to power 54,000 homes.
A new site entrance will be built off Kelso Drive and an operations building and car park added to accommodate onsite staff.
